Do you consider technology to be useful for instruction inside the classroom? Does technology take away from learning in the classroom or enhance student's learning?
I think that technology can be a very useful tool for instruction in classrooms depending on how it is used. If it is used in the wrong way students can get side-tracked by technology and get off task, but I can also see it being very useful and relevant to students in the world today.
I think technology can be a very useful tool in the classroom because it is how they students will interact with the world outside of the classroom. It can be a problem though when the student stops trying to figure out problems and just goes to technology for the answer, sometimes we need to have that imagination and cognitive ability to figure out something with out the use of technology.
I think technology can be very useful in classrooms - it can help facilitate exploration outside of the classroom without having to leave! I think that technology generally enhances learning. It probably only takes away from learning in situations that call for a more personal form of communication or expression.
I think technology in the classroom is a two edged sword; it can be highly beneficial as well as dangerously threatening. Computers and technology can allow children to span great distances, see other countries, and learn things we never could before. However, if we dwell too much on the incredible facets of technology, we may create a generation of kids who think that they can ONLY be creative, useful, productive, and beneficial to society through technology. We don't want drones. We want to help kids to be creative thinkers, and use technology as a mean of displaying that creativity to the world.
If used correctly and in a controlled environment, technology can be very helpful as a learning tool. This is especially true in our increasingly digital world, where technology is often a key part of children's lives. It is important, however, to have some sort of regulation so that students do not simply become distracted by the technology.
I think that technology can be a very useful tool in the classrooms. It can help students think and learn in new ways that maybe you or them would have never thought of before. I can maybe see it becoming a problem when the student stops using the technology to learn and just goes to find the answer or to play games. Also I think there is a point where too much technology wouldn't be helpful as I think its important that students still read from books and write in notebooks.
