1. Lighting- You want to be able to see what you’re filming. The lighting should not bee too bright as well.
2. Background Noise- make sure you’re not in a place that is very noisy with talking, music, wind, traffic and the like.
3. Don’t cut mid sentence or during important phrases or words
4. Add background music to make the film more inviting and fun. Use appropriately
5. Filming- Make sure the footage is not shaky. The footage needs to be usable for a professional clip.
6. Add credits to the film
7. Transitions- adding transitions to the film with help with organization of the story and the overall flow
8. Add a picture when necessary
9. Do cut out unnecessary material Ex. Background noise, bloopers, unusable footage

1. Look for a variety of websites
2. Minimize number of websites to age level and focus ability
3. Make sure the websites are developmentally appropriate
4. Give clear direction about what they are to do on the website
5. Make sure the websites flow together
6. Before handing out an old web quest make sure the websites still exist
7. Consider time needed to complete the assignment
8. Keep handout simple and interesting
9. Make sure there is access to computers
10. Make sure answers are accessible and clear as well as open-ended
